Mystic Music WANDERINGS - Springtime Dream
by Brane Koren © 2002
Springtime Dream M an lives as river flows. Each river gets blessed by its well. The sacred well of life. Once it starts to flow, river begins its journey. In places easy and peaceful, but sometimes rough and merciless...

The rivers diverge and combine, they kiss and entwine each other. They grow and rise with time, getting more and more water. They run and wander, searching for a way to the sea. Towards an endless sea, where they become one...

In eternity...

Many rivers lose their aim, their way, lose their heart, soul , shine. They start flowing over barren, muddy ground. Once they stop they become black slushes. Their stream pollutes many other rivers. When well drains rivers run dry, and never reach the sea. They never accomplish the purpose of their sacred spring. They end at their beginning. Disappear in time.

Flashing are rivers that blaze the trail towards sea, and reach it. They find the way, leaving deep trace behind.

For some new, forthcoming waters...

River that reaches the sea unites with its own well. So fulfills its purpose. On one day well drains, but never its water.

It pours into the sea. And lives forever...

Every tale comes revived by its beginning. Every life arises from its seed. Every river starts running at its well.

The one and only. Written among the stars..

Spring of my lymph rests in an ancient windy night, in a distant year .. the year of a dragon....

...Winter declines. Lasting and cold winter. Frozen fingers of night melt and retreat. Far on the horizon a scintilla appears.

It dawns. A new day arrives through glorious flames...

A spell from the sun lights upon an endless kingdom of streams and vales, mountains and woods. Warm strings of a daylight burst through crowns of trees, starting an amazing dance. Ice dissolves, brook begins to flow, reviving the heart of an old watermill... Beautiful creatures forgather by the fresh well. Spirited hind halts, curiously lifting its lovely head. Forests echo with a symphony of wild fowls. Nature starts singing through rhapsody of rainbow colours...

A breeze begins to glide over mountains and rivers, through wide spaces of flowers and honey. Dewy grass blades kiss the ground, branches mildly wrap in. Silky leaves quiver.

A small child starts running over blooming paths, and stops still on a mound. Then casts a glance at the beautiful blue sky, absorbing its crystal shine. And then he catches sight of the distance, takes a deep breath - and stretches his face into a smile. The wind just brought him the news. Fresh and sweet. The smell of a spring...

...Golden threads of my remembrance reach down to that beautiful day, touching the fertile ground of one magic place.

The ground where I impressed trails of my first steps. Place where I’ve been absorbing colours of rainbows. Oh yes.

In that place my journey has begun...

My lymph started flowing in greenness of vales, in the laps of poplars and lindens, pines and birch trees. There have been assembling paths of adorable people. Likewise flights of wonderful gaudy birds...Near by my home a remarkable tree has been standing. An old astonishing tree with branches alike cascades of the prettiest worlds river. No one understood oldness, nor descent of its seed. High on its crown I’ve spent glorious days of my childhood. Days of playing and learning, of friendship and joy...

I used to run restless with other children, blissful and smiling. With laughs we ruled over rich crowns of trees, sharing the fresh fruits of a spring. Many paths we walked together, weaving secret silky threads. All I longed for flashed in my eyes. Everything I saw I ingrained inside my heart. I’ve been a new child on paths of fortune. Grateful I’ve been growing in a kingdom beneath the sun. Surrounded by kind, beautiful people...

At the end of days I’ve often isolated myself, and disappeared in the distance...

I used to stand still, gazing at the west, silent and amazed. Far on horizon light broke into colours, showing its enchanting spirit. I felt a strong, strange connection. I felt a call from distances. And soft, mystical tune in my heart. A voice from the depths. So bright and true. And it seemed I gazed at the human heart...

Many times I’ve wanted to know, many times I’ve peered into sagacity. I’ve been absorbing every sound, feeling every twitch, every sign. Many words I’ve sent to the world, many songs I’ve sung to the wind. I’ve been a smiling, ordinary boy that runs to the west, and sings the songs about dreams... and love...

...Years rolled by, and darkness smothered one loved, just blooming life...

During the close of that day I went away, to hear the voice of my heart. I was running over distant meadow, until I finally stopped in front of the windmill. Thoughtfully I was observing its hands, hands that play an endless game of time. Time and again. In circle. Its shadow had welcomed and conducted so many passengers. It had measured so many hours, days, years. Counted out so many people, so many steps, so many sighs. And it has been watching my shadow changing, growing.

While its shadow remains the same. Stony tower that plays a game of time. Windy, endless game.

Until game destroys it. And proceeds with its way....

Wind dispelled the clouds, for the road of friendship to continue. We’ve been gathering in the laps of old linden. Later discovering new games, while protecting old principles. From time to time we hastened to a glade beside the western woods. During spring eves we used to sit in a circle, gathered around warmth and light of the flame we made. Surrounded with happiness, freedom, flowers. Merged through the song - into one.

Exactly like that very evening, scented and fresh. On horizon sank the last signs of a day. Queen of night sent off her silent tunes. Bells started ringing, guitars began to play. Just some star set sail over the sky, just some butterfly alighted and pricked its ears. Flare threw its light upon dear faces, dear eyes and smiles. Delighted by the smell of spring and grass, we started singing our favourite song. About one flame, which never dies...

Deep into the night tunes stopped, guitars went silent. Many kids returned to their homes, many turned out the lights, as I stayed behind alone. Alone beneath the stars. Dazed by the shine. Filled with wistfulness. Enchanted...

Suddenly I felt the voice that summoned me towards a distant glade, where I finally stopped and lied down, with eyes aimed at the sky... I was staring at the endless kingdom of stars, far into the past. And then I started to meditate, searching for a key to the great secret. And thoughts became deep and strong...

I’ve started thinking far, much deeper and deeper, until I sank during the strange ague - into a "dream".

And something conducted me back through time - much, much distant past - up to the very Beginning.
